Recently, Governor Raimondo presented Shepard Fairey's "Angel of Hope and Strength" as a tribute to Rhode Island's health care workers, on the front line of the Coronavirus pandemic. This inspired me to create a series, as a continuation of his work, featuring other essential employees. These pieces are very heavily influenced by Shepard Fairey's artistic style, as a way to cohesively link to his "Angel of Hope and Strength" as a series. In order, the essential employees depicted are: National Guard, grocery store employees, first responders, postal carriers, sanitation sprayers, and farmers.
